Captain Lisbeth Delacroix
The senior officer aboard the Fierce, Captain Delacroix runs her ship
with a firm but even hand. Diminutive in stature and middle-aged in years,
Delacroix is a well-liked and respected ship's captain.
Senior Lieutenant Emile Messier
The ship's Executive Officer (XO), Lieutenant Messier takes care of the
day-to-day operations aboard the Fierce. Utterly professional and perhaps
a little cold, Messier doesn't allow the crew he must manage to get too
close to him. Rumors abound that he was due the commission of the Fierce,
but that he was passed over for Captain Delacroix.
Corporal Isabel Wickter
One of the ship's three communications specialists, Corporal Wickter works
in the dedicated communications center, managing space traffic and the
comings and goings of Redtail Squadron. Wickter is best known for her
sexy radio voice -- though she has a body to match. She normally maintains
a professional, cool demeanor.
Sergeant George Lopez
The Fierce's senior communications specialist.
Warrant Officer Juan Poulo
The senior helmsman, Officer Poulo is a skilled flyer, but is often impatient
with and critical of his junior helmsmen.
Corporal Jan Eroll
Another helmsman, Corporal Eroll is a steady, deliberate pilot who can
maintain a cool head when others lose theirs. He has befriended Private
Arianna Cyan, the ship's third shift helmsman.
Private Arianna Cyan
The junior helmsman on board the Fierce, Cyan likes to push the ship --
and her crew -- to its limits. Cyan has just transferred aboard the vessel,
and has thus far not made many friends -- save Jan Eroll and (sort of)
Lana Epsilon.
Warrant Officer Ann Zieg
The senior navigator on board the Fierce. In her 40s, Zieg exudes a calm
professionalism that Delacroix wishes would rub off on some of the ship's
younger crewmembers.
Corporal Amos Orr
One of the ship's navigators, Corporal Orr has something of a self-confidence
problem. He's talented enough at his job, but frequently second-guesses
himself -- not a good trait for a navigator.
Recruit Nelson Revere
A communications operator in training, Recruit Revere is a tall, quiet
young man who has kept mostly to himself since recently transferring onto
the Fierce.
Warrant Officer Joe Lindy
A sensor operator, Sergeant Lindy is level-headed and calm under pressure.
He's one of the oldest members of the crew, at 60.
Lieutenant Athena McGregor
A JAFI (Jovian Armed Forces Intelligence) officer posted temporarily to
the Fierce, Lieutenant McGregor is in charge of the Project BIGEYE prototype

Master Warrant Officer Walter "Koz" Kozlowski
The ship's senior Quartermaster, Koz is the man to see when something
is needed. He's by-the-book, however, and doesn't like people trying to
beat the system to get what they need -- or want. He sports a very large
handlebar moustache.
Corporal Anthony Woodbury
Working in the quartermaster section under Master Warrant Officer Kozlowski,
Corporal Woodbury has a reputation for being a little more lax when it
comes to obtaining non-standard goods.
Senior Lieutenant Dr. James Zelios
The ship's doctor, Dr. Zelios has been in the JAF a long time, and has
seen about all there is to see over the course of his long career, or
so he says -- at great length, if given the opportunity. He spent years
working for the Solar Cross, and has visited every inhabited planet in
the solar system. In his old age, he's become increasingly irritable,
and has little time for medical issues he deems insignificant.
Junior Lieutenant Dr. Monique Gilmour
Just out of medical school, Dr. Gilmour is the doctor of preference on
board the Fierce for a variety of reasons. She has a wonderful bedside
manner (particularly when contrasted with Dr. Zelios), is very skilled
at what she does, and is flat-out gorgeous. Tall and leggy, Dr. Gilmour
is one of the few women on board who is willing to go to the time and
trouble of wearing her hair long. She is the topic of much conversation
among the male crew.
Corporal Frank Park
A direct, matter-of-fact paramedic, Corporal Park is efficient and skilled
at his job. He has no qualms about calling one of the doctors should he
be faced with something he's not trained for, but he's able to diagnose
and treat most of the crewmen who arrive in the medical bay with emergencies.
Sergeant Orwell Pluto
One of the senior Stewards, Sergeant Pluto is a large, sweaty man who
seems to always be in a foul mood -- particularly when Sergeant Humbolt,
his coworker, is around. He's good at what he does, but sometimes lets
his anger with Humbolt get the better of him.
Sergeant Lotte Humbolt
Another senior Steward, Sergeant Humbolt is an enormous woman with a loud
mouth, a bad attitude and an absolutely enormous bosom. She is continually
warring with Sergeant Pluto over something or other.
Recruit Tanza Kerokovic
A junior steward on a short-term placement with the Fierce, Kerokovic
is a pleasant young girl most noted (at least by male crewmembers like
Lt. Gunther) for having great legs.
Sergeant Manuel Rodriguez
Small in stature, Sergeant Rodriguez is a dependable, hardworking man.
The chief EVA Specialist on board the ship, he takes crew EVA trainings
very seriously, and prides himself on the fact that his students are consistently
able to outperform those of his peers.
Warrant Officer Angus O'dell
A short, brawny, fireplug of a man, Officer O'dell is always ready for
a fight. The Fierce's Chief Gunner, he's quick to anger, and even quicker
to make amends. Deep down he has a warm heart, but it can be hard to see
through his bluster at times.
Private Lana Epsilon
A junior missile specialist, Private Epsilon has just recently joined
the Fierce -- this is her first tour aboard a warship. Innocent and lively,
Epsilon is sure to get herself into trouble with her good looks and disarming
manner.
Sergeant Blake Salazar
A senior KKC gunner -- badly injured in the Ryu's nuclear attack on the
Fierce. Salazar was transfered off the ship at Habitant 3 so he could
make a full recovery.
Private Henry Salam
A junior KKC gunner. He was with Salazar and Fan when their turret was
hit by debris from the nuclear blast, but he escaped with minor injuries.
Private Deborah Fan
A junior KKC gunner, Fan was killed by the attacking Ryu's nuclear assault.
Sergeant Porsche Malone
Malone is a senior KKC gunner who joined the Fierce while she was laid
up at Habitant 3 -- she's Sergeant Salazar's replacement.
Private Kanda Damon
Fan's replacement, Damon is an inexperienced KKC gunner who came aboard
the ship while it was undergoing repairs at Habitant 3. As pushy as she
is attractive, she's been assigned to share crew quarters with none other
than Private Arianna Cyan.
Master Warrant Officer Obedience Jones
Officer Jones runs the engineering section with efficiency and aplomb.
Her abilities are well-known throughout the JAF; Captain Delacroix considers
herself lucky that Jones hasn't already been posted to a more prestigious,
more demanding position -- say, aboard one of the Valiants, the Godsfires,
or the coming super battleships and carriers. Jones is happiest when everything
is working as it should, but she takes a certain glee in troubleshooting
and solving the gnarliest of engineering problems.
Sergeant Brinna Isner
Senior boson on board the Fierce, Sergeant Isner is good-natured and well
liked by virtually everyone she's ever met. She knows the life-support
and climate control system better than anyone else on board, and as a
result is often the first person called when something goes wrong -- even
when she's off duty.
Corporal Katlyn Tesla
An attractive, spirited woman,Tesla is one of the ship' engineers. She
recently had a disasterous fling with Lieutenant Gunther. Everett thought
her too "high maintenance," while she faulted him for flirting
with other girls and even having a one-night-stand with another member
of the crew (Colleen "Candy" Miller, now departed from the ship)
while they were dating.
Corporal Willem Tomas
A sullen man who has the uncanny ability to make women uncomfortable just
by being around them, Corporal Tomas has been a bosun aboard the Fierce
since she launched in the summer of 2211.
Private Milo Brown
A quiet young engineer with an incredible affinity for all things electronic
and mechanical, Private Brown lacks social skills but is a valued member
of the engineering team because of his technical prowess.
Lieutenant David Tweet
The deck commander for the Fierce, Lieutenant Tweet runs the flight deck
like a well-oiled machine. Tall and handsome, his social graces are somewhat
lacking because of his renowned bluntness.
Master Sergeant Lonald "Lonnie" Dumphy
One of the three deck officers working under Lieutenant Tweet, Sergeant
Dumphy is a foul-mouthed, opinionated man who perennially sees the glass
as half-empty rather than half-full. He's good at his job, however, and
so is often given the benefit of the doubt.
Sergeant Lily Gatsby
Another deck officer, Sergeant Gatsby is a down-to-Earth (Jupiter?), knowledgeable
woman with a good sense of humor. Though frumpy-looking, she has a pleasant
smile.
Private Maribelle Young
Technically gifted, Private Young lives up to her name; she's young, and
she often acts it. She's an energetic and enthusiastic worker, but sometimes
her sense of curiosity and adventure get her into hot water. When she
tames her nerdliness (takes off her glasses, styles her wild, frizzy hair,
etc.), which is a rare event, Maribelle is quite attractive. (She'll still
act like a goober, though.)
Private Babette Moore
Renowned for being the sexiest girl on the ship and for flaunting her
physical charms with her nomadic clothing, Private Moore was otherwise
surprisingly quiet and conservative. A former acquaintance of Vice Valkurie's,
she was a deck hand of average skill. Moore died suddenly while the Fierce
was moored inside the Sally Ride just off of Habitant 3. The cause of
her death is unknown and is currently under investigation.
Corporal Sandeep Balaraj
Earnest, hard-working and well-liked by the rest of the deck crew, Balaraj
is an intelligent man who takes his work seriously -- perhaps too seriously,
at times.
Private Vincent "Booger" Panoz
A first-class goofball, Private Panoz is often more concerned with finding
new ways to annoy Sergeant Dumphy, embarrass Private Young or undress
Private Moore than with the particulars of his job. Panoz is tall and
funny-looking.
Private Kimo "Loogie" Tanaka
Another layabout, Private Tanaka is best friends with Private Panoz; together,
"Booger and Loogie" are the terror of the flight deck. Tanaka
is short and funny-looking.
Corporal Avi Elsworth
A slow-moving man who likes to keep to himself, Avi is best known on board
for the peculiar smell that accompanies him wherever he goes.
Private Roxanne Murley
A slightly-built woman who likes to fly beneath the radar both socially
and professionally, Murley is a valuable member of Tweet's crew.

Fighter Squadron -- The Redtails

Senior Lieutenant Elliot "Snipe" Spencer
The commander of the Fierce's powerful fighter squadron is a dashing,
good-looking man who prefers the action of his exo's linear frame to the
administrative tasks he all-too-often finds himself saddled with. Lieutenant
Spencer neither likes involving himself in the interpersonal spats that
frequently break out among his pilots; he keeps a watchful eye to make
sure everyone is performing at peak levels, but tries not to meddle where
he knows it'll do no good. He also commands Starling Flight, flying a
Pathfinder CT.
Lieutenant Alora "Cool" Gilding
A tall, haughty woman with a penchant for biting sarcasm, Lieutenant Gilding
leads Finch Flight. She is a skilled pilot, but little liked by her fellows.
She flies a Pathfinder RC.
Lieutenant Vice Valkurie
An exo-armor ace who just recently joined the Redtails, Valkurie is renowned
for this heroism during the Battle of Elysee. He pilots a Retaliator exo-armor,
the only one on board, and leads Grackle Flight. Lieutenant Gunther is
a bitter rival.
Lieutenant Everett "Mockingbird" Gunther
A skilled Lancer pilot, Gunther is known on board for being something
of a hotshot and a ladies man. His talent in an interceptor is unquestionable,
but his superiors sometimes question his judgment. He leads Swallow Flight,
and has a long-standing rivalry with Lieutenant Valkurie.
Corporal Samuel "Ollie" Olivier
Olivier is a young pilot of some promise -- he lacks experience, but has
scored top marks in simulators and on exercises. He's hungry for action,
and perhaps a little over-eager. He pilots a Pathfinder RC in Starling
Flight; he is Senior Lieutenant Spencer's wingman.
Corporal Mortimer "Mort" Cosby
Cosby is a mild-mannered exo pilot who can be counted on when the chips
are down. He's been in two different live-fire situations, and has responded
quickly and decisively both times. He pilots a Pathfinder Alpha in Finch
Flight, where he protects Lieutenant Gilding's wing.
Corporal Delilah "Dee Dee" Durst
Small, red-headed and freckled, Corporal Durst is a lively young woman
who is well-known among the crew for her temper and her willingness to
take risks. She pilots a Lancer in Swallow Flight, and is Lieutenant Everett
Gunther's wingman.
Sergeant Magnus "Fenris" McLean
Possessing an impressive physique, Sergeant McLean is a likable man with
a good heart, a quick wit and wry sense of humor. He's well-liked by his
squadron mates, and his skill in an exo-armor is considerable. McLean
pilots a Pathfinder A in Grackle Flight, and is Lieutenant Valkurie's
wingman.
Sergeant Carlos "Old Dog" Cortez
The oldest pilot in the Redtails, Cortez is a man of about 50. He's a
humorless man, and has little time for shenanigans in or out of the cockpit.
He flies a Lancer and leads Thrush Flight.
Private Yvette "CT" Collins
A young woman better known for her flirtatious behavior with the senior
staff than her skills, Private Collins may yet turn out to be a solid
pilot. She flies a Lancer in Thrush Flight, and is Sergeant Cortez's wingman.
Corporal Ricardo "Royale" Montreal
Corporal Montreal is a moody, brooding man who hasn't bonded with
the rest of his squadron mates. His handsome, dark looks have made him
a favorite among the ladies on the ship, but something in his eyes keeps
most of them away. He leads Oriole Flight in a Pathfinder A.
Private Donald "Wee" Meltwater
Private Meltwater is one of the youngest pilots on board, and is the most
timid flier of the lot by a long shot. Wet behind the ears, whenever he's
out on patrol it's almost a babysitting job for whoever's out there with
him -- which is usually Corporal Montreal, since Meltwater flies a Pathfinder
RC in Oriole Flight.
Warrant Officer Jon Duran
An old-school marine, Officer Duran leads his half-platoon of marines
with gusto and zeal. He's not a terribly creative platoon leader, but
is a man to count on when the chips are down -- at the very least because
his men are 100% behind him. Duran pilots a Falconer exo-suit on missions
requiring EVA activity, where he leads the four other Falconers in Zebra
squad.
Private Jonas Hellenburg
A young marine in Zebra squad, Hellenburg was killed during the assault
on the Sled. He used a Falconer exo-suit when on EVA assignment. The Fierce
was his first assignment, and he had only recently come aboard. His replacement,
Mui Pagotti, recently came aboard.
Corporal Miranda Felix
A seasoned marine, Felix is unassuming but capable. She's in Zebra squad,
and wears a Falconer exo-suit for EVA duties.
Private Andre Chretien
Chretien is not the brightest of fellows, but carries out orders to the
letter and can be relied upon in tough situations to make hard decisions.
He's in Zebra squad, and uses a Falconer exo-suit for EVA work.
Corporal Edward Kwame
The strong, silent type, Kwame is one of the most capable people on the
ship. His mind is sharp, he's in tip-top condition and he possesses good
judgement. He's in Zebra squad, and uses a Falconer exo-suit for jobs
that require EVA.
Private Mui Pagotti
Pagotti joined the Fierce during its stay inside the JSS Sally Ride. Diminutive
in stature, she has a spirit and will that are belied by her compactness.
Her previous posting was on the JSS Valiant. Pagotti is of mixed Italian
/ Vietnamese ethnicity, though she is distinctly asian in appearance.
Mui is in Zebra squad, and pilots a Falconer exo-suit.
Sergeant Nora Tucker
Sergeant Tucker leads Jackal squad, which consists of five marines (including
herself). She's very capable physically, and possesses a get-things-done
attitude that her superiors like a great deal. She uses a Decker Pouncer
exo-suit on EVA missions. Tucker has an honest face and brown hair barely
long enough to put into a ponytail.
Corporal Daniel Mitchel
One of the marines in Jackal squad -- a tough, dependable guy who was
killed during action on the Sled. He used a Decker Pouncer for EVA missions
and has been replaced by Tomas Ottman.
Private Paul Lockerby
A smart-mouthed marine who likes to antagonize Kerin La Rue. He's in Jackal
squad, and uses a Decker Pouncer while on EVA.
Private Joan Faign
A very manly marine (especially for a woman), Faign is a coarse, rough-around-the
edges individual who is surprisingly likable -- she possesses a sly wit
and is self-depreciating to a fault. She's in Jackal squad, and uses a
Decker Pouncer exo-suit for EVA duties.
Private Panagiota "Penny" Skaradis
Skaradis is fit and able, but otherwise inexperienced. The Fierce is her
first posting, so she's just entering her second year of service in the
JAF. Her under-fire decision-making abilities are as yet unproven. She
serves in Jackal squad, and uses a Decker Pouncer when EVA is called for.
Corporal Tomas Ottman
Ottman joined the Fierce at the same time as Pagotti, when the ship was
laid up near Habitant 3. A tall, lanky man with ropy muscles and a long
neck, he has an easy smile that's on his face more often than not. He
uses a Decker Pouncer exo-suit, and is a member of Jackal squad.
Sergeant Harry Mandrake
A native of Titan, Mandrake has just recently been assigned to the Fierce.
He leads Hyena squad, five marines (including himself) all suited up in
Decker Pouncer exo-suits when EVA is on the agenda. He's in prime physical
condition, and has earned the respect of his squad in a short time.
Private Noah Brinks
A classic "jarhead" marine, Private Brinks is all about pissing
farther than the man (or woman) next to him. His hand-to-hand skills are
unmatched on board the Fierce, but his gung-ho attitude is worrisome at
times. He is part of Hyena squad, and uses a Decker Pouncer exo-suit when
it's time for EVA. Badly wounded over on the Sled, Brinks is now making
a speedy recovery and has been cleared for active duty.
Corporal Kerin La Rue
An imposing, impressive physical presence, Corporal La Rue is the kind
of woman some men dream about, while others have nightmares. Over six
feet tall, she's lean, strong, and willing to use her stature to intimidate
people. Something of a bully, she's been reprimanded on more than one
occasion for scaring the bejesus out of crew members who were "getting
on her nerves" for one reason or another. She is in Hyena squad,
and pilots a Decker Pouncer exo-suit when EVA is required. Click

Private James Ng
Ng is quiet and careful, as befits a demolitions specialist, and the
rest of the squad often seem to take him for granted. He is friends with
Private Milo Brown and usually finds some excuse to hang around near
Private Lana Epsilon when off duty. He is a member of Hyena squad, and
uses a Decker Pouncer exo-suit during EVA missions.
Private Nike Ellis
Ellis is a sensor specialist. Her skills have saved her squadmates on
several occasions and she is considered good luck by other marines.
Private Noah Brinks has decided she is his 'little sister', much to her
annoyance, finding his attempts to protect her patronizing. Freshly
transferred on board, she is eager to make new friends. She serves in
Hyena squad, and wears a Decker Pouncer exo-suit for EVA ops.
